Concave Venetian Awnings
A Concave Venetian awning is a variation on the traditional Venetian in which the rafters are formed with a slight concave curvature, giving the cover an evenly draped appearance, even though it is stretched drum-tight. These are typically combined with decorative spear-tipped or scrolled projection bars to offer a high-end decorative appearance, although they can also be made without a valance to exhibit a more modern flair. They are typically manufactured with 1”x1” aluminum frames with Sunbrella covers. When decorative projection bars are used, the top frames are manufactured in one piece, and the projection bars bolt-on. Cover attachment can either be screwed or stapled, depending on the application. The covers typically feature laced rafter bands on all internal rafters.
